It’s only been two and a half months, and I’m already revamping the blog! In the name of ease and speed, I started this blog by just writing Markdown files inside the site’s code repository so that I didn’t get bogged down by integrating a headless CMS. After a few months, a few things have become pretty clear:

I’d like a solution that would allow me to have the content sit alongside other notes and projects I’m working on

I want it to be easier to autogenerate post properties, i.e. the tags, slug, published/unpublished

I’d like it to be MUCH easier to add different types of content like videos and sound files

. I’m going to spend the next couple of weeks migrating the existing posts from this year to Notion, and using the Notion API to pull those into this blog. Really easy, but time consuming so I’ve given myself the goal of having this done by April 1st. 🚀

I’m changing this blog to use Notion as a CMS instead of local Markdown files.
